She Reads Truth is hosting its first virtual summit today, October 8, 2026, bringing together Christian teachers and authors for a free online event focused on knowing God through Scripture, called Knowing God: Grow Closer to God Through His Word - the event is being hosted by She Reads Truth co-founders Raechel Myers and Amanda Bible Williams and features Kristi McLelland, Courtney Doctor, Katie Davis Majors and Joanna Weaver, and is presented by Grace Corner, the direct-to-consumer platform connected to Penguin Random House Christian Publishing Group.

Registration is free and no purchase is required - the event is built around four connected sessions, with the speakers looking at different aspects of developing a deeper relationship with God through the Bible. Myers and Williams host the event and guide the conversations throughout the day - you can also join in online through the She Reads Truth registration page.

Who is speaking at Knowing God?

The summit brings together four Christian authors and Bible teachers:

Kristi McLelland is known for teaching about the biblical world and the historical and cultural setting of Scripture.

Courtney Doctor is an author, Bible teacher and theologian whose work includes women's Bible study resources.

Katie Davis Majors is the author of Daring to Hope and founder of Amazima Ministries, which works with vulnerable children and families in Uganda.

Joanna Weaver is the author of Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World and other Christian books focused on spiritual growth.

Why is this summit significant for She Reads Truth?

The event comes at an important point in the history of She Reads Truth as well - Penguin Random House Christian Publishing Group acquired the brand in April 2026, making She Reads Truth a new imprint while allowing it to retain its own identity and mission. Myers and Williams continue to lead the brand's vision.

She Reads Truth was founded in 2012 and grew from a Bible-reading community into a much larger Christian media operation, where its current work includes Bible reading plans, devotionals, an app, email newsletters, subscriptions, social media, a podcast and printed resources.

The summit is also arriving alongside the first She Reads Truth book to enter the wider trade publishing market since the Penguin Random House acquisition - This Is Our Christmas Story: A Family Keepsake Journal was published on September 22, 2026, where the 144-page hardcover combines the Christmas story from Matthew and Luke with space for families to record their own Christmas traditions and memories.

The book includes the full texts of Matthew 1–2 and Luke 1–2, along with pages where families can record where they celebrated Christmas, what they ate, gifts they gave and received, favorite memories, people they missed and hopes for the coming year.

There is also space for recipes, photographs, cards and other Christmas keepsakes, with the journal designed to be used across 25 Christmas seasons.

The Christmas journal is going to be the beginning rather than a one-off experiment, so if you like this sort of thing, Penguin Random House Christian Publishing Group has said that additional She Reads Truth resources are planned for the trade in 2027.

What does She Reads Truth do?

She Reads Truth describes its mission around helping women read and engage with the Bible every day, where its resources include reading plans covering individual books of the Bible and wider subjects, alongside printed study materials and digital resources, and the company also operates He Reads Truth and Kids Read Truth, extending its publishing model beyond its original women's audience.

The brand has also developed a substantial podcast and online community, meaning its content is not tied to one particular format.
