Jeremy Camp has revealed that he came close to walking away from music before making Revival, his new 11-track album due on February 5, 2027 - the Christian singer said a difficult period involving health problems and family relationships forced him to reconsider what came next.
The album announcement arrived alongside a new single, “Shaky Ground,” released on October 9. Camp co-wrote the song with his daughters, Bella and Arie, and says the experience behind it was deeply personal.
“This song came out of a pretty crazy season recently,” Camp said in the announcement. “I had some major health struggles, difficult times relationally with people close to us and in our family, it just felt like a lot.”
He said that, through those experiences, he found himself relying on his faith and what he describes as God's unchanging faithfulness. “In some ways, I think ‘Shaky Ground’ is a song that sums up my life.”
Camp has spent more than two decades recording Christian music, with 46 No. 1 singles and more than four billion global streams, according to his publicity team - his previous album, Deeper Waters, arrived in 2024 and included “No Survivors,” a collaboration with Skillet that reached No. 1 on Billboard's Christian AC Airplay chart for two weeks.
The album's title track was released in June, before the full project was announced. Camp said the response to that song helped reassure him about moving forward with the record.
He has also explained what the word Revival means to him. “What I'm learning is that revival starts with me,” he said. “It starts in our own hearts and draws us back to Him.” He went on to describe personal change as something that should affect marriages, families and the way people serve others.
The album features 11 tracks, including “Give Up Control,” “Refuge,” “Let Some Light In,” “My Miracle” and “Simple Faith.” Production involves Jordan Sapp, Ran Jackson and Ricky Jackson, alongside Dave Lubben and John Strandell, with additional production from Michael Leto.
“Shaky Ground” is available now, while Revival is due February 5, 2027, through Capitol CMG. The album can be pre-ordered through Jeremy Camp's official music site, and the new single is available here.
