Christian children's media company Minno is planning a much bigger future for its Laugh and Grow Bible for Kids franchise, with a new animated Bible story scheduled to arrive every week from 2027, with the long-term aim to build a collection of more than 200 stories covering the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.
The announcement comes as Minno expands the franchise across animation, books and audio, where its latest release, Laugh and Grow Bible for Kids: Jesus Stories, launched on the streaming platform earlier this month, with a companion book published on October 13.
The new series focuses on the life and teachings of Jesus, using stories from the Gospels to explore his miracles, parables and encounters with people with the project including 52 stories drawn from Matthew, Mark, Luke and John - the companion book is also designed around five-minute readings, with family connection sections to help parents continue the conversation after each story..
Minno says its Laugh and Grow Bible for Kids content has received more than 200 million views on YouTube in the past year, while its channel has passed 1.7 million subscribers - Jess Wolstenholm, Minno's vice president of education and a co-writer and executive producer on Jesus Stories, said the intention is for children to see Jesus as more than just a character in a Bible story, helping them understand who he is and how his teachings relate to their own lives.
The Jesus Stories series is available through Minno, with the wider weekly Bible story rollout planned to begin in 2027.
